Job Title: Warehouse Forklift Operator

Position Description

Ryder is immediately hiring a Permanent Full Time Forklift Operator in Wilmington, Illinois.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions, including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting
• Work within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Ensure accurate picking, packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products, and loading/unloading of trucks
• Handle day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading)
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during production hours
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, in a diverse environment
• Ability to create and maintain professional relationships across the organization
• Thorough, dependable, punctual with good attendance
• Ability to lift/push/pull up to 35 lbs and stand for long periods
• Flexible schedule across various shifts
• Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly pay: $18.50 per hour
• Shift pay: $2.00 per hour
• Overtime pay: $27.75 per hour
• Sign-on bonus: $1,000 (half paid at 30 days, remainder at 90 days)
• Compounding pay increases: $0.25 at 90 days and 180 days; $0.50 increase after 1 year

Schedule: 2nd Shift, Monday - Friday, 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM

• Equipment: Sit-Down/Stand-Up Forklifts and RF scanners
