Overview

Position Title: Plant Utility Clean up and Forklift Operator in Cedar Rapids, IA

Schedule: Monday-Friday

Hours: 8am-4:30pm

Compensation: $17/hr

Must have good attendance and 2 years forklift experience.

Environment

Environment: Loud, dusty plant setting (cracker meal conditions).

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift to move dry food bi-product materials as directed.
• Sweep floors and perform general cleaning throughout the facility.
• Assist with daily plant cleaning, trash pickup and maintenance, including after plant shutdown.
• Work in both active production areas and during plant downtime.
• Perform cleaning tasks in high elevated areas of plant and small spaces as required.
• Follow all safety rules and wear required PPE (some provided).
• Other cleaning duties as assigned by plant supervision.

Job Conditions

Very dusty and loud environment every day. Must be comfortable working at heights and in small spaces. Must dress appropriately for dusty plant conditions. Occasional lifting required (up to 40 lbs). Additional Notes: PPE is provided for certain tasks. Employee is responsible for following all safety and company policies at all times.
