What You'll Do
As an ED CNA, you will play a crucial role in the patient experience. Your responsibilities will include:
- *Direct Patient Care:* Assisting patients with personal care and comfort needs, including bathing, dressing, feeding, ambulation, and maintaining hygiene.
- *Vital Sign Monitoring & Documentation:* Accurately taking and recording vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiratory rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation), height, and weight, and reporting any changes in patient condition to the nursing staff.
- *Patient Transport & Logistics:* Safely transporting patients via wheelchair, stretcher, or bed, and assisting with admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- *Specimen Collection:* Obtaining and labeling various samples (e.g., urine, stool, sputum) and transporting blood/blood products.
- *Procedure Support:* Preparing patients, equipment, and supplies for examinations and procedures, assisting with patient positioning and transfers.
- *Documentation:* Providing patient information to nursing staff and documenting relevant patient data according to unit standards.
- *Emergency Response:* Performing basic life support and assisting medical staff during emergencies.
- *Environmental Maintenance:* Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment, stocking supplies, and reporting equipment issues.
- *Team Collaboration:* Working closely with nursing staff, following clear instructions, and seeking guidance when needed to ensure exceptional patient care.

- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA): MN certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
