University Hospitals is hiring: CNA in Conneaut

Assists with resident care, admission/discharge of patients, and assembly and set up of equipment and supplies. Performs utility duties associated with patient care, including providing assistance to patients with ADL's (bathing, grooming, dressing, feeding, toileting) as delegated by the RN. Assists patients in ambulating, turning, positioning as delegated by the RN. Also assists with stocking and inventory of resident care supplies, monitors patient safety alarms, provides clean linens, changes bed, and maintains an uncluttered environment for residents. Answers call lights, obtains vital signs, completes POCT, and communicates any changes in patient condition to RN.

Participates in quality and patient experience initiatives.

• Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.

Education

• High School Equivalent / GED with previous work experience, or vocational education or GED, as a nursing assistant. (Required)

Work Experience

• Experience (Preferred)

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Patient care equipment specific to assigned population; telephone; nurse call system; pager. (Required proficiency)

Licenses and Certifications

• State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) (Required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required)
• Maintains state certification. (Required)
