Overview

The function of the Office Supervisor is to be responsible for performing all office functions associated with a Great Floors store facility. This includes supervision of other office support personnel including, but not limited to, an assistant office staff, builder support person and receptionist. The candidate must have above average computer, telephone and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • The Office Supervisor is responsible for all office administration tasks associated with a Great Floors retail facility. This includes reception, confirmation and invoicing of orders, daily deposits, processing labor billing and payroll reporting along with all tasks necessary to support retail, builder and commercial salespeople.
  • The Office Supervisor must participate in regular department head meetings.
  • The Office Supervisor must facilitate customer relations by ensuring communication, quality performance and prompt response to customer needs and problems and represent Great Floors in a positive manner within the community.
  • The Office Supervisor is responsible for participating in all training sessions, meetings and events as may be required by the company.

Standards of Performance

  • All paperwork required to handle the high volume of transactions required are prepared accurately.
  • Store customers are handled in person and by telephone in a professional and respectful manner.
  • Staffing of the office administrative staff is adequate in order to perform all required functions and is trained to perform those functions.
  • Customer service as measured against the company expectations and opinion of customers is promoted in a manner which insures repeat business and a favorable reputation in the community.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company guidelines, policies and procedures, and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

  • This position answers to the Branch Manager. This position manages all employees of the office department and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within that department.

Requirements

Education, Experience & Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

  • At least two years of previous experience in office management.
  • Working knowledge of mail processes such as postage machine, FedEx and UPS.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • Computer skills as may be required to operate the industry specific software required to deal with orders, run required reports and perform all other tasks as required.
  • Can effectively manage and supervise a diverse group of employees.
  • Knowledgeable in all aspects of the business including product knowledge and installation.
  • Proficient in typing, data entry and the operation of all required office equipment.
  • Able to work effectively and professionally with all store customers and staff.

Position Type / Hours

Full-time position, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM.

No travel is expected for this position.
