Aisles Online Shopper

Department: Aisles Online | FLSA: Non-Exempt

This role is responsible for selecting the best products for online shoppers and accurately picking groceries ordered online by customers.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

• Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring and patience in all customer interactions.
• Smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner and learns customers’ names when possible.
• Assists customers by escorting them to products, securing items, loading/unloading heavy items, noting and passing along customer requests, and performing tasks to enhance the shopping experience.
• Answers telephone and emails promptly with friendly, helpful service.
• Accurately selects groceries ordered online by customers; selects high-quality produce, meat, and other fresh products; scans and bags items from all temperature zones.
• Adheres to company policies and store guidelines; reports to work as scheduled and on time.

Secondary Duties And Responsibilities

• Tenders customer orders through POS and processes payments.
• Locations orders in storage at proper temperature and retrieves promptly prior to customer arrival.
• Ensures products maintain proper temperature throughout the process.
• Prepares orders for pickup, assists with loading groceries into customer vehicles.
• Monitors online orders to ensure prompt fulfillment; performs other duties as required.

Education And Experience

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Vision: see detail at near range with or without correction.
• Medium work: occasional lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds; frequent standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Activities: stooping, kneeling, reaching, handling, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.

Working Conditions

The duties are performed in a retail store setting and may involve dust, noise, and temperature extremes. Potential hazards from moving equipment and electrical exposure. Fast-paced environment with deadlines.

Equipment Used

Pallet jack, box cutter, cash registers, trash compactor, forklift, calculator, telephone, intercom, cardboard compactor, copier, fax (within wage and hour guidelines).
