Insight Global is hiring: Software Engineer in Fort Lauderdale

Overview

A Fortune 100 employer in the Financial Services industry is looking for a Software Engineer to join its team. As part of an Agile Scrum team, the Engineer's primary focus will be working on modernization and enhancement efforts primarily around UI. They will be developing frontend components and newer features, solving application development tasks, and supporting existing development. Engineers are assigned user stories and will spend a majority of their time on these items. Immediate work will focus on deploying into the existing environment, unit testing, integrating backend APIs, and focusing on TypeScript enhancements. There may also be backend work, so full stack background experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop frontend components and UI enhancements as part of an Agile Scrum team.
• Work on modernization and feature development, solving application development tasks, and supporting existing code.
• Implement deployments into the existing environment, perform unit testing, and integrate backend APIs.
• Focus on TypeScript enhancements and related frontend work; some backend work may be required.
• Collaborate with team members to complete user stories and deliver iterative improvements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience (or equivalent work experience).
• Strong experience with React, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Strong knowledge of HTML and CSS.
• Expertise consuming REST APIs.
• Knowledge of state management with Redux or similar.
• Proficiency or familiarity with Java and backend engineering (full stack background preferred).
