Join to apply for the Retail Warehouse Associate role at Steinhafels Furniture. Steinhafels is recruiting an associate to work in our furniture warehouse and retail store backroom. This position has overall responsibility for moving furniture to the showroom floor, unboxing, assembling, and re-boxing a wide variety of furniture. The role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and a strong focus on customer service.

Primary Duties Include

• Furniture Assembly & Construction: Accurately assembling furniture according to manufacturer specifications, ensuring pieces are constructed safely and meet quality standards.
• Furniture Movement: Frequent lifting, carrying, and pushing/pulling of furniture to safely transport items to designated areas on the showroom floor.
• Customer Assistance: Aid customers with merchandise pickup, ensuring a smooth process and delivering excellent customer service.
• Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records, track products, and report discrepancies or damaged items promptly.
• Unboxing & Re-boxing: Unpack new furniture and prepare for display; re-box items as needed for storage or shipping.
• Showroom Maintenance: Help organize and display furniture to keep showroom visually appealing and safe.
• Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols, use proper lifting techniques and tools to prevent injury.
• Self-Motivation: Work independently with initiative and minimal supervision.
• Power Tool Proficiency: Safely and effectively use various power tools for furniture assembly.
• Reliability: Demonstrate strong attendance and punctuality to maintain operational efficiency.
• Physical Requirements: Able to pass a 75 lb physical lift test prior to employment.
• Schedule Flexibility: Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift and handle heavy furniture items (up to 75 lb).
• Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to safety.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
