Overview
Self Storage Income LLC is seeking a skilled Accountant to support our growing portfolio of companies. We are a growing company that owns and operates multiple businesses across different industries. We are in need of a detail-oriented accountant who thrives in a dynamic, multi-entity environment. This is a chance to grow with us as we scale.
The ideal candidate will work closely with the COO of the company to learn the businesses involved and then execute on proper financial accounting and strategy to optimize the growth of each business.
This is a remote position but some travel may be expected throughout the year for different in-person events.
Essential Functions
- Manage bookkeeping and accounting across multiple businesses and LLCs, with additional businesses expected to be acquired and managed.
- Maintain accurate general ledgers and ensure timely reconciliations.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable.
- Manage employee expense reporting and ensure accurate reimbursements.
- Process payroll and ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
- Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, financial reports, and financial analysis.
- Collaborate with outside CPA firm for taxes and year-end close.
- Use internal team communication systems including but not limited to: Google Drive, Zoom, Slack, Asana
- Create and maintain efficient accounting processes to support growth.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the company.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in preparing and analyzing Financial Statements
- Strong Analytical Skills and experience in Finance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and self-motivated
- Ability to work independently and remotely
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
- 3–5+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Experience managing multiple entities simultaneously.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting best practices.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (or similar) and Excel/Google Sheets.
- Familiarity with payroll platforms (e.g., Gusto, BBSI).
- Strong communication skills — able to explain financials clearly to leadership.
- Bonus: Experience in real estate, e-commerce, and/or service-based businesses.
Schedule
- Schedule: Monday–Friday (weekends on occasion for travel or events)
- Location: Remote (US Based)
