We are seeking a Journeyman Electrician to support the safe and efficient operation of our plant.

JOB DUTIES
  • Comply with all safety requirements and actively promote a positive safety culture.
  • Perform journeyman level electrician duties to install, maintain, and repair production equipment and machines.
  • Plan, layout, install and repair a wide variety of complex electrical equipment including automatic machine and process controls, control centers and panels, relays, circuit breakers, electronic controls, tape actuated controls and other equipment involving tube or transistor circuits.
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, detect and replace defective control modules, test and make adjustments.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on production equipment including air compressors, nitrogen lines, and lighting systems, etc.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, etc. in performing duties.
  • Use a variety of equipment such as forklifts, man lifts, and bucket trucks in performing duties.
  • Complies with all safety related procedures and processes related to exposure to electrical hazards, e.g. lock out/ Tag Out, Arc Flash Hazard, Electrostatic discharge.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology with 3 years’ experience as an Electrician in a high-speed manufacturing environment. Alternatively, High School diploma or GED with formal electrical or related electrical apprenticeship of 4 or more years with 3 years’ experience as an Electrician in a high-speed manufacturing environment, or equivalent experience and proficiency attained though a formal electrician or related electrical apprenticeship.
  • Must possess and maintain Electrician license issued by state of Kentucky.
  • Must have thorough understanding of basic electrical and electronic theory, National Electrical Code Standards and troubleshooting logic and practice on AC and DC equipment and circuits.
  • Must use and read various types of instruments, meters, gauges, dials, etc; able to read, understand electrical schematics and PLC programs, diagnose equipment problems and determine if equipment or process operating properly.
  • Must be able to read and interpret and complex drawing and detailed specifications, etc. and carry out complicated written instructions in a safe manner.
  • Must be able to exercise good judgment and technical skill to plan and perform difficult work when working near power sources and electricity or when only general guidance is available.
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position requires the ability to safely perform essential job functions in a manufacturing environment, including:

  • Must be able to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods (up to 8–12 hours per shift).
  • Regular lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs.; pushing/pulling up to 40 lbs.
  • Reaching, repetitive motion, and frequent use of hands/feet for coordination.
  • Frequent head/neck rotation and upper body twisting.
  • Visual acuity to read gauges, documents, and inspect machinery.
  • Tolerance for high-heat environments (90–110°F) and ability to work in these conditions for extended periods.
  • Must be able to wear required PPE including safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and steel-toed footwear.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Manufacturing/industrial setting with exposure to moving mechanical parts.
  • May require working near chemicals or hazardous materials.
  • Consistent exposure to moderate to high noise levels (hearing protection provided).

This position is located within a federally regulated Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ). In accordance with applicable laws, a background check will be conducted after a conditional offer of employment.
