Responsibilities

  • Provides comprehensive administrative support to Human Resources
  • Supervises department front desk customer service function, including student staffing
  • Ensures both legal and procedural compliance for Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) benefits and other leave requests
  • Monitors and tracks employee-reported leave time and associated medical verifications
  • Reconciles payroll withholding accounts for FICA/Medicare, Federal, State, and international taxes
  • Collect and organize data for various employment requests
  • Ensures compliance of employee fee waiver and dependent tuition reimbursement benefits
  • Coordinates monthly personnel action reports for review and approval
  • Assists in reviewing nonresident alien work eligibility for employees and determines appropriate paperwork and supporting documentation to file with USCIS
  • Processes all electronic and paper employment verifications
  • Monitors and reconciles multiple department budgets
  • Updates and maintains department website

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel
  • Bookkeeping experience or evidence of math skills
  • Evidence of strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and in a team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks with frequent interruptions
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of customer service
  • Demonstrated ability to work professionally with all levels of the organization
