Base pay range

$135,000.00/yr - $140,000.00/yr

ProspectBlue is seeking an Human Resources Manager for their client in Newport News, VA!

Are you an experienced HR leader who thrives in fast-paced, multi-site environments? This role is central to shaping employee experience, driving compliance, and supporting our integration with a future corporate parent.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead HR operations across multiple locations, with primary responsibility for our Newport News HQ and coordination across Virginia, Pennsylvania, and the UK.
  • Act as the face of HR — accessible, credible, and visible across the business.
  • Manage and mentor an HR Generalist to ensure consistent practices across sites.
  • Own and resolve complex employee relations issues, including investigations and conflict resolution.
  • Support recruiting, onboarding, and performance management initiatives, particularly in VA.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws and regulations (FMLA, ADA, OSHA, etc.).
  • Collaborate with payroll, benefits, and corporate HR to align processes and ensure accuracy.
  • Play a key role in HR integration efforts with the acquiring company, helping align the client's HR practices with enterprise standards.

What You Bring:

  • 7–10 years of progressive HR experience — ideally in a manufacturing or multi-site environment.
  • Experience in Manufacturing is a must.
  • Deep knowledge of employee relations, compliance, and HR operations.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to coach and develop HR staff.
  • A balance of strategic thinking and hands-on execution.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with HRIS systems.

Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field required.
  • HR certification preferred (PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP).
