Job Description
Manager of Human Resources directs the development and implementation of HR strategies aligned with business objectives, provides guidance on HR policies and practices, and fosters a culture of employee engagement and development.
What You Will Do
- Collaborating with management as a strategic advisor helping identify and prioritize HR initiatives that align with the organization's strategic goals and objectives.
- Aligning HR policies and programs for their business unit or region which promote employee engagement, retention, and performance.
- Acting as a trusted coach providing guidance to leaders and managers on HR-related matters, including performance management, compensation, and benefits.
- Analyzing HR metrics and data to identify trends and opportunities and develop data-driven recommendations to senior management.
- Leading a team of HR professionals to collaborate with Centers of Excellence and serve as thought leaders to the business and HR.
- Providing sound management skills in leading/managing strategic projects.
- Leading projects and developing and implementing change management methods and materials to facilitate deployment of HR programs and processes.
- Assisting with hiring, training, and safety-related initiatives.
- Working with employees on all payrolls and all shifts, providing direction regarding interpretation and application of employee-related policies and procedures to ensure consistency.

- HR Consulting: Ability to inform, guide and advise managers in HR-related initiatives.
- Talent Management: Ability to attract, recruit, retain, identify, and develop talent to meet organizational goals.
Top Candidates Will Also Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Strong experience in data analysis and storytelling through reporting.
- Proficient in HR and reporting tools (e.g., Workday, Power BI, Excel).
- Skilled in presenting complex topics to diverse audiences across organizational levels.
- Demonstrates exceptional judgment and creative problem-solving abilities.
Additional Information
- Position is in Dyer, IN.
- The selected candidate will be required to be on site Monday to Friday.
- This role requires less than 10% travel.
- Relocation will be available for this role.
- Sponsorship will not be provided for this role.

Summary Pay Range
$110,520.00 - $165,840.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Salary is one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
