Samaritans Purse is seeking a Carpet / Hard Surface Cleaning Technician to join our team in Boone, NC. You can be a part of a highly professional Facilities team. As a Carpet / Hard Surface Cleaning Technician, you will serve Samaritan's Purse by providing high-quality carpet and hard floor cleaning across domestic ministry locations. A day in the life of a Carpet / Hard Surface Cleaning Technician:

In the role of Carpet / Hard Surface Cleaning Technician, you will have the opportunity to:

• Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Jesus Christ
• Perform carpet and hard surface cleaning and maintenance using industry-standard equipment, tools, and cleaning products
• Inspect areas for stains, wear, and special treatment needs prior to cleaning. Move and reset furniture in a safe and professional manner
• Maintain and clean all assigned equipment and ensure it is functioning properly
• Support daily, weekly, and project-based cleaning schedules. Respond to urgent or emergency cleaning requests in a timely manner
• Uphold safety, sanitation, and stewardship standards at all times. Maintain accurate logs of tasks completed and materials used
• Serve staff and guests with a spirit of hospitality, professionalism, and Christlike humility
• Adhere to safety protocols, including PPE use, signage placement, and ventilation practices
• Follow policies and procedures of Samaritan's Purse as set forth in the Policy Manual
• Attend daily morning devotions and participate in prayer support for the ministry, donors and volunteers
• Maintain a strong Christian witness to colleagues, vendors, charitable beneficiaries, and the general public
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and two (2) to five (5) years of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• General knowledge of commercial carpet cleaning or janitorial services preferred
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
• Twelve credit hours of college-level Biblical studies preferred, not required
