Overview
CoStar Group is seeking a Senior IT Support Specialist to join our team in Richmond, VA. The role focuses on improving employee productivity by serving as the single point of contact for information and problem resolution, diagnosing and resolving issues with hardware, third-party and proprietary software, LANs, and servers via telephone, email, remote tools, and hands-on support. The position requires strong customer service, self-motivation, problem-solving abilities, and clear communication. This role is located in Richmond, VA and offers a schedule of 5 days in office.
Responsibilities
- Provide guidance, assistance, coordination and follow up on client questions, problems, or malfunctions of all systems, applications, hardware and software installed and maintained by the company.
- Train, coach, mentor, and support Tier 1 and Tier 2 IT Support Specialists; act as a backup for IT Support Team Leads.
- Ticket management: assist with dispatching and assignment of tickets when necessary; day-to-day ticket resolution for complex issues and VIP support; act as an escalation point; inform management of potential problems and identify trends.
- Install hardware and peripheral components (monitors, keyboards, printers, hard drives, etc.).
- Install, configure, maintain and upgrade computer hardware and software.
- Update and create documentation for the Service Desk organization.
- Provide videoconference administration and support.
- Handle other duties and special projects as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college (not-for-profit institution).
- 5+ years of experience in a corporate IT or Service Desk role.
- Experience implementing TCP/IP at the workstation level.
- Experience supporting Windows 10 workstations, Macs, Active Directory, Microsoft Office Suite and Windows File Permissions.
- Ability to lift/move equipment up to 50 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- O365 Administration experience.
- Experience supporting mobile devices such as iPads, iPhones, etc.
