Medica is seeking a hands-on AI Platform Engineer to help build and scale our next-generation AI agents and infrastructure. You’ll work on complex systems that power AI-driven healthcare solutions - for our members, providers and employees, that improve the healthcare experience end-to-end. This role is ideal for hands on builders who thrive on ownership, love solving technical and business problems, and are on the cutting edge of software.
Key Accountabilities
Assist in designing, implementing and deploying AI pipelines and systems—from evaluation setup and benchmarking to integration with products. Focus on building reliable, observable and safe components
Collaborate on prototyping and building production grade AI-powered features and consumer-facing systems. Contribute to solving healthcare and technical challenges by applying modern AI tools and frameworks
Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to code reviews. Learn and apply engineering best practices, and support platform development through clean, maintainable code
Stay current with AI trends and tools. Explore new approaches and share learnings with the team. Support adoption of promising technologies that enhance platform and enterprise capabilities
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related field
3 years of work experience beyond degree

Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of experience developing production-grade software using Python, Go, or similar backend languages
Demonstrated ability to work with public cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including provisioning and scaling under guidance or established patterns
Hands-on experience deploying infrastructure using Terraform or other declarative IaC tools
Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm
Exposure to modern DevOps and observability tooling, including GitHub Actions, Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry
