Apply GAAP controls to plant financial operations to ensure adherence to internal controls (including SOX and other YFAI internal standards). Assist the organization to optimize profit and protect company assets by assessing financial risks and opportunities. Lead local budgets and forecasts and communicate results to the organization. Assist the Plant Manager in plant governance. Plan, monitor, and authorize capital expenditures for the plant; align investments with company strategies; ensure property accounting records are accurate; monitor idle assets and assets put into production; collaborate with program commercial controllers, managers, and engineers to align forecasted expectations; assist in the reporting of capital grants; lead fixed assets inventory verification events and request adjustments. Ensure inventory is accounted for in line with GAAP requirements and aligned to cost accounting policies; supervise and audit inventory verification events; collaborate with Materials Supply Chain to report and optimize cycle count adjustments. Lead monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual ledger closing activities; participate in corporate financial events and reconcile accounts; ensure accruals and journal entries are accurate with proper backup; prepare trial balance reports and reconcile local ledger accounts to the corporate book of record. Prepare and evaluate variance analyses for Sales through EBIT accounts; summarize and report business performance by Plant and Product Platform; develop and communicate management reports for local and corporate management as required. Prepare, develop and review financial budgets and forecasts; lead budgeting assumptions for the plant and review the profit plan with local management and corporate Operations; collaborate with cross-functional teams to confirm budgeting assumptions. Pass statutory, SOX and internal audits by adhering to key controls and providing evidence; perform standardized month-end accounting checklists and balance sheet reviews in line with Controls expectations. Prepare and distribute additional financial information as required. Support ad hoc requirements from corporate staff departments in Legal, Tax, HR, and other areas. Essential Common Requirements for all Employees

Bachelor's Level Degree. Equivalent work experience may be considered for certain positions. Required Qualifications (Experience Level, Skills, Knowledge)
7-10 minimum years of experience with financial and business management, or similar. 1 minimum year of experience within the automotive industry. Preferred Qualifications (Experience Level, Skills, Knowledge)
QAD or similar ERP knowledge. HFM / Hyperion / Smartview experience. MS Office including intermediate to advanced Excel. Cost accounting awareness. Works well with diverse teams; communicates assertively and on time; internally motivated. Seniority level
