Staff Attorney & Grant Agreement Unit Supervisor
position provides legal counsel to the Office of Transit and Active Transportation (OTAT) and supervises its Grant Agreements Unit. It ensures legal compliance and efficient contract coordination for state and federal transportation programs related to transit, shared mobility and active transportation. The role serves as OTAT’s primary legal liaison with internal MnDOT offices and federal agencies, represents the office in legislative and regulatory settings, and may oversee administrative rulemaking under the Minnesota Administrative Procedures Act. AND Two years of professional supervisory experience OR three years advanced professional contract or state and federal grant experience that demonstrates: Legal drafting skills sufficient to draft complex contracts. Legal analysis skills sufficient to comprehend case law, statutes, and regulations and to apply findings to specific facts and circumstances. Client counseling skills sufficient to provide complex information.
