As a Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in executing OneDigital’s Azure Cloud strategy. Reporting to the Director of Technology Operations, your responsibilities will involve developing, implementing, and maintaining solutions within our Azure-first estate.
Responsibilities
Assess existing on-premises infrastructure to determine suitability for cloud migration. Develop comprehensive migration plans including timelines and risk assessments. Execute cloud migrations ensuring minimal disruption to business operations. Establish hybrid connectivity between on-site systems and cloud environments. Optimize cloud resources for cost-effectiveness and performance. Implement security best practices, including data encryption, access controls, and compliance. Monitor cloud infrastructure, troubleshoot issues, and provide ongoing support. Participate in post-migration reviews and continuous improvement initiatives. Implement Azure-based solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Work closely with development, operations, security as well as non-IT stakeholders to integrate Azure services into broader business operations. Oversee the resilience, security, and performance of Azure environments. Manage backup, patching, and disaster recovery functions. Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines, automate infrastructure provisioning, and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools. Participate in architecture reviews and recommend operational improvements. Stay abreast of Azure updates, trends, and emerging technologies. Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of continuous learning. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in cloud migration projects. At least 3 years of specific, hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure architecture, management, and delivery. 10+ years of experience managing large-scale, production Windows environments. Strong understanding of enterprise networking, security, and infrastructure architecture. Proficiency in Azure infrastructure, networking, storage, application services, and Azure DevOps. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Azure certifications preferred. Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with diverse teams. Business Continuity or Disaster Recovery planning experience a plus.
