Join a leading restaurant company as they embark on a transformative data journey. As Director of Data Architecture & Governance, you'll have the unique opportunity to build enterprise data capabilities from the ground up, establishing the foundation for data-driven decision making across all business functions. About This Opportunity Establish the foundation for data-driven decision making across all business functions. What You'll Do Design & Build:

Create comprehensive enterprise data architecture including data lakes, warehouses, and real-time systems in cloud environments (Azure preferred) Establish Governance:

Develop and implement data governance frameworks, policies, and standards where none currently exist Ensure Compliance:

Own end-to-end data compliance strategy across all platforms (POS, HRIS, finance, supply chain) Define Standards:

Create metadata management, master data, data lineage, and stewardship protocols Drive Quality:

Lead data auditing, cleansing, and validation initiatives across the organization Collaborate Cross-Functionally:

Partner with Operations, IT, HR, Supply Chain, and executive leadership Future Leadership:

Potential to build and manage small teams, including global/offshore resources What You Bring: 6-8+ years in data architecture, governance, or enterprise data management Proven track record building governance frameworks and infrastructure from scratch Strong expertise in cloud-based data environments (Azure, AWS, GCP, etc.) Experience with governance frameworks (DAMA, DMBOK) and compliance regulations Hands-on experience with ETL tools, metadata platforms, and data security protocols Excellent cross-functional communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders Preferred Qualifications: QSR or restaurant industry background Experience supporting operations, HR, and supply chain functions Exposure to onshore/offshore team collaboration Track record of influencing long-term architecture strategy Direct operational ownership experience (not primarily consulting-focused roles) Why This Role Matters This is a rare opportunity to shape the data future of a well-established organization.
