Controller
to join our team. This individual will play a key role in overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and driving strategic decision-making across our portfolio. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic environment that blends real estate investment, development, and asset management. Key Responsibilities
Manage the preparation of monthly financial statements. Ensure compliance with all tax, regulatory, and contractual obligations. Maintain accurate and timely accounting processes, including accounts payable/receivable, cash management, capitalization, general ledger, and tax. Project Accounting & Cost Management
Establish and maintain effective project accounting processes. Track and manage changes in estimated costs through construction management software. Review contractor draws, process commitments, and maintain commitment trackers. Ensure proper documentation, including insurance and lien waivers, before work begins. Budgeting & Forecasting
Plan, facilitate, and present budgeting and cash forecasting activities. Produce detailed financial and analytical reports for executive and asset management teams. Support budget reporting and project status updates through data gathering and research. Leadership & Team Development
Hire, train, develop, and oversee accounting team members. Foster strong working relationships with construction, accounting, compliance, and procurement partners. Financial Modeling & Strategic Analysis
Guide financial analysts in modeling existing assets, development opportunities, and potential acquisitions. Evaluate project performance, including incurred and committed costs, schedule, funding, and risk assessment. Ensure variances from budgets are accurately captured, investigated, and reported.
