Senior Tax Associate – Full Time (Hybrid)

Company Description Argueta CPA Firm, based in Houston, provides Assurance, Tax, Accounting, Advisory, and Consulting services to individuals and entities. Job Description Prepare and review business, individual, and non-profit tax returns such as 1040, 1120, 1120s, 1065 Clients mostly include small closely held businesses, small non-profits, and individuals Lead engagements throughout all aspects of planning, tax research, preparation, and filing Assist with tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities Collaborate with other team members Develop and manage professional client relationships Software used includes QuickBooks, CaseWare, and ProConnect/Drake In-office or Hybrid office environment Must be available to travel during tax season to a 2nd office location, 1 day per week Actively contribute to firm-wide growth initiatives, process improvements, and special projects with an entrepreneurial approach Demonstrate leadership qualities, mentor junior staff, and prepare to take on greater responsibility as the firm expands Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting Minimum 5 years of tax preparation Knowledge of tax software and MS office Client facing and tax review experience are a plus CPA license a plus but not required Proactive, growth-oriented mindset with a drive to contribute beyond traditional tax preparation Compensation Pay Range starting at $80,000 and DOE Medical and Dental benefits
