Specimen Processing and Special Chemistry Manager Position Summary

The Manager of Specimen Processing and Special Chemistry demonstrates clinical and technical expertise and is responsible for the management and supervision of the designated laboratory areas. This position requires the knowledge and skills necessary to provide direction to the department, oversee the safety of its employees, meet the regulations that are required to maintain our laboratory's certifications, and ensure optimal specimen processing and quality testing is provided to meet the needs of our customers. During designated weekends, holidays and on-call days, he/she is responsible for the management and supervision of all laboratory sections.

Specimen Processing and Special Chemistry Manager Position Requirements:

Education A B.S. degree in Medical Technology with Master's degree or Chemistry specialty certification preferred. Experience

3 years experience in specific section or area of specialty, preferably with supervisory experience such as Lead/Senior Technologist or with comparable supervisory experience. Specimen Processing and Special Chemistry Manager Work Schedule

Routinely works day shift, Monday through Friday. Rotational coverage of weekends and holidays. Expected to work in times of staffing shortages, emergencies, disasters and unexpected increases in workload. Expected to provide professional time, advice and expertise as necessary to ensure quality laboratory service. May be required to be on-duty for extended periods of time during emergency situations including computer downs. Specimen Processing and Special Chemistry Manager Benefits

At TidalHealth, team members working at least 36 hours per pay period based on 12-hour shift schedules or at least 37.5 hours for non 12-hour shift schedules and part-time team members working at least 30 hours or more on weekends only are eligible for benefits. Salary range:$71,448.00-$110,760.00 Commensurate with experience
