As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our providers at OMG clinic locations. Your responsibilities include gathering and maintaining essential medical information in a welcoming and friendly manner, ensuring quality patient care, and fostering rapport between physicians and patients. Primary Responsibilities: Prepare patients for examinations and document chief complaints. Obtain patient histories and vital signs, accurately recording them in the Electronic Medical Record. Assist with patient examinations, procedures, and specimen collection as needed. Retrieve laboratory and radiology test results, instructing patients regarding medications and treatments as per the physician's directives. Understand and interpret the current immunization schedule and administer injections safely. Stock supplies and prepare exam rooms/instruments for examinations, testing, or minor surgeries. Respond to incoming phone calls, referring as necessary, and follow up with patients for scheduling appointments. Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. MA Certification from AAMA, NCCT, NHA, or AMT, or the ability to obtain certification within 60 days of hire. Healthcare provider level CPR/BLS certification, or the ability to obtain certification within 30 days of hire. Preferred Qualifications: 1+ years of Medical Assistant experience. Experience with electronic medical record systems. Our pay structure takes various factors into account, including local labor markets, education, experience, and certifications. We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase, and 401k contributions (subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role ranges from $16.00 to $27.69, specifically for Eugene, OR: $19.00 to $25.00 per hour, based on full-time employment.
