Associate Director of Undergraduate Admissions
The Associate Director supervises the Assistant Directors and Admissions Counselors and manages significant projects promoting the value of Dominican education. Working with the enrollment leadership team, the Associate Director will design and implement strategies to recruit, evaluate, and admit first-year, transfer, and international students to the University. Position Summary : The Associate Director will oversee all areas of undergraduate admissions in collaboration with the Associate Vice President of Enrollment Management. Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Supervise the undergraduate admissions staff, ensuring they work towards enrollment goals and all project management areas. Responsible for the hiring, training, and onboarding undergraduate admissions staff. Supervise contracting strategy with counselors and ambassadors to ensure intentional cadence with each prospective student. Coordinate the development of scripts that strive to answer questions at all funnel stages. In the absence of the Executive Director of Undergraduate Admissions & Operations, oversee all areas of undergraduate admissions. Daily Operations and Budget Management
Assist in managing student communication flow by preparing letters, putting together packets, reception work, data entry, tracking documents, etc. Work with high school and college counselors to update Dominican materials in the office and establish a relationship. Enter and track information in the database to manage territory recruitment. Meet regularly with the supervisor and team members to ensure clear communication within the office. Send weekly reports on territory and project management to the supervisor. Manage the travel budget to ensure travel costs align with budget expectations. Recruitment Travel
Develop annual Territory Management strategy utilizing admissions data that informs staff travel, scheduling, transportation, and accommodations. Evening and weekend hours will be required throughout the year, in addition to extensive overnight travel. Recruitment Events
Oversee the coordination of recruitment events such as open houses and receptions. Attend recruitment events on and off campus to interact with prospective students. Visit high schools to promote Dominican and recruit students. Represent Dominican at community college and high school college fairs and transfer days. Prospective Student Engagement
Manage student interest in assigned regional territory from inquiry to registration. Establish a relationship with prospective students and their families through telephone, email, mail contact, interviews, events, etc. Answer questions about admissions and follow up with personal needs and matters. Schedule campus visits for students and families. Conduct admission interviews and tours, arrange classroom visits, and give presentations to prospective students. Application Review
Review student files, including transcripts, test scores, essays, applications, and letters of recommendation for evaluation purposes. Follow up with applicants to complete files and update necessary information. Serve as Reader 2 when counselors have questions regarding admissibility. Project Management
Participate in and lead ongoing admissions office projects such as student ambassadors, campus alum programs, publications, electronic recruitment, promotional items, etc. Develop and maintain appropriate manuals for program management. Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university 3 or more years of experience in an academic recruitment environment Ability to work independently and manage timelines, and work within a deadline-driven environment Ability to collect and analyze data for recruitment metrics Strong verbal and written communication skills Experience in collecting and analyzing data for recruitment metrics Proven ability to deliver presentations to diverse constituencies Proficient computer literacy Project and event management A current driver's license and satisfactory driving record required and must be maintained Must be able to rent automobiles Preferred Qualifications
