Position Summary: We are seeking a talented and motivated Test Engineer to join our dynamic team. Working closely with a team of experienced engineers, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing test solutions to validate the functionality of Silicon Photonics devices and Photonic Integrated Circuits (PIC) at the wafer level, die level, and package level. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in optical, electrical, and high-speed testing. The position is onsite at our Goleta CA location. Responsibilities: Develop test hardware and software for testing PICs on the Advantest 93K ATE silicon wafer tester Develop custom test hardware and automated test software for wafer and die testing on our proprietary test stations Design and implement custom test solutions for 100-400 Gb/s eye testing at the die and wafer level and execute DVT testing on 1.6T and 3.2 T optical transceivers using industry-standard equipment like BERTs, DCAs, VNAs, and AWGs. Write and debug the test automation scripts in python, implement and verify the analysis equations, and execute the tests on the designated test station Perform data analysis in Jmp or python, and communicate with internal and external customers on the test plans, results, and project status Skills & Requirements: Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, or Physics Programming experience in python, queries in SQL, data analysis in JMP Demonstrated experience in data acquisition systems and data analysis Ability to work cooperatively and proactively across organization Excellent oral and written communication, including excellent presentation skills Experience in photonic and high-speed RF testing Preferred Experience: Hardware and mechanical design of PCBAs and test jigs Test development on the Advantest 93K platform Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Full-time Job function Engineering Benefits Medical insurance Vision insurance 401(k) Paid maternity leave Paid paternity leave Disability insurance
