Nemluvio Scientific Director
The Nemluvio Scientific Director will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the global medical communications and publications strategy for Nemluvio within Galderma’s dermatology portfolio. The Nemluvio Scientific Director will report directly to the VP Medical Affairs and will be based in our
Boston
office. Nemluvio is a first in class, investigational, monoclonal antibody that directly targets the interleukin-31 receptor A, a neuroimmune cytokine. IL-31 is believed to play a role in more than 50 diseases and is a promising therapeutic target for treating multiple conditions. Primary Responsibilities
Serve as the primary driver of the global medical communications and publications strategy for Nemluvio within Galderma’s dermatology portfolio Overseeing the Adhoc analysis plan for data that supports all publications, aligning prioritization with business needs Lead the end-to-end creation of high-quality scientific publications, abstracts, and congress posters-personally authoring (with vendor support) and refining materials to ensure scientific rigor, clarity, and strategic alignment. Collaborate cross-functionally with Clinical Development, Biostatistics, Commercial, and other internal stakeholders, as well as external experts, to ensure accurate interpretation and communication of clinical data. Develop and execute a global publication plan, proactively adapting to changes in the dermatology landscape and ensuring timely dissemination of impactful data. Act as the subject matter expert on publication-related activities, guiding internal teams and external collaborators through best practices and compliance with Galderma’s standards. Manage vendor relationships and oversee publication-related budgets, contracts, and timelines to ensure efficient and high-quality deliverables. Contribute to the evolution of internal processes and SOPs, identifying opportunities to streamline workflows and enhance scientific impact. Deliver training to cross-functional teams on newly developed and published data, ensuring consistent understanding and effective application across the organization. Foster a collaborative and transparent working style, confidently navigating complex discussions and offering strategic input while maintaining scientific integrity. Minimum Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Advanced Doctorate degree in a relevant scientific discipline. Significant industry experience in relevant therapeutic area may be accepted in lieu of education requirements. 3-5 years’ experience (greater than 7 years preferred) with leadership success in the following areas: pharmaceutical medical communications and/or industry experience. Writing and leadership experience. Excellent communication skills: oral, written and presentation. Able to use standard computer technologies including integrated business software (word processing, spreadsheet) and other common applications. Be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities. To identify and analyze the needs of the business and translate problems into business opportunities. Experience in personnel management including recruitment, hiring, coaching and motivation.
