Bering Straits Professional Services, a company within the BSNC family, is currently seeking a qualified Certified Athletic Trainer for the Naval Special Warfare Orientation Training Program in Coronado, CA. This position assists with injury prevention, rehabilitative care, and performance enhancement which will prepare students for the rigors of the Naval Special Warfare assessment and training pipelines. Wage/Salary Range: $68,000 - $90,000/annually Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Provide and facilitate injury prevention, basic acute care, effective rehabilitative care, and performance enhancement. Provide Human Performance services, instruction, and guidance within the NSWCEN Medical scope of practice as defined by the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) Board of Certification for Athletic Trainers (BOC). Design and fabricate protective pads, equipment, and braces to help prevent and treat injuries, including the use of taping techniques within the NSWCEN Medical team scope of practice. Participate in periodic meetings to review the care provided to patients to identify opportunities for improvement. Serve as an advisor to the NSWO OIC in matters related to injury prevention, sports medicine, rehabilitation, and bridging. Serve as an advisor to the NSWO OIC for administrative matters, purchasing of supplies and equipment, and supplemental fiscal requests. Collaborate under the oversight of the NSWCEN medical team program to enhance the quality of patient care delivered. Conduct equipment, product, and literature reviews to ensure the program stays current with the provision of care. Participate in quarterly peer (record) reviews for non-privileged healthcare provider. Attend and participate in meetings with other NSWCEN medical team and medical personnel as requested and/or required. Ensure safe and effective operation of equipment used for patient care and contribute to a safe working environment. Attend required training in accordance with guiding instructions. Perform clinical and administrative tasks as assigned by the NSWO OIC with oversight by the NSWCEN medical team. Document care, work performed, utilization, encounters, referrals, and all other information in the Military’s Electronic Health Record (i.e., AHLTA, GENESIS, etc.) and/or the other databases. Collect and report all data as requested by the NSWCEN medical team or NSWO OIC. Proficiently utilize computers, MS Office Suite, and technologies as required. Qualifications - Experience, Education And Certification

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Athletic Training NATABOC certification Minimum of five (5) years or more of demonstrable accumulated experience (continuous and sustained experience preferred) as an ATC with individual athletes and groups of athletes at the levels of NCAA Collegiate, Olympic, professional sports, and/or military in the accompanying, respective settings Paid, full-time experience as a government civilian or contract employee at United States Army and/or Marine Corps Infantry units may be counted towards minimum qualification requirements. Capable of meeting physical demands of training with SOF including the ability to hike over rough terrain and function in austere environments and on various ground transport to observe SOF training evolutions Conduct training, education, and the ability to assist with strength and conditioning testing and training protocols and lift and manipulate loads or weights up to 25 kilograms Completion and qualification through Specialty Vehicle Institute of America (SVIA) ATV rider course prior to employment Possess a valid and current CPR and AED American Red Cross Certification U.S. citizen Valid US driver’s license Must be able to obtain SECRET clearance Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, And Other Characteristics

Previous experience related to the essential duties and responsibilities outlined for this position. Master’s degree preferred Experience as a CSCS by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) Necessary Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to maneuver around and see, hear, and verbally communicate with co-workers and contractors. Visual acuity to review written documentation and ability to hear and understand speech at normal room levels. Dot Covered/Safety-sensitive Role Requirements

This position does perform DOT “safety-sensitive” functions (as defined under 49 CFR Part 40) and is subject to all federal requirements related to Department of Transportation requirements for those performing, or on-call to perform, “safety-sensitive” functions. Employees must provide a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC). WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position requires working indoors, outdoors and in a pool. Must be able to maintain health in hot and cold conditions with exposure to the elements. Supervisory Responsibilities
