Our market leading client is seeking a proactive Production Planning Coordinator to work at their state of the art facilities in Andover. You will oversee the planning team, support

departmental leadership, and collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations.

Production Planning Coordinator

Responsibilities:

Management of the planning team

Provide the operations team with a clear plan ensuring smooth running of production processes.

Daily – Start & end day status review with Production Manager & Production Supervisor’s

Assist the Production Supervisor with scheduling and organizing manufacturing team in assigned area

Highlight any relevant external training required to the Production Manager and HR training team.

Organize equipment servicing schedules to avoid costly downtime

Analyse production data for any bottlenecks and areas of improvement.

Provide key performance metrics with the production team and report results through Daily production meetings and monthly review.

Monitor yields and first time reject rates with Quality team and lead action to reduce defects.

Optimise equipment utilisation & work patterns to increase productivity.

Identify & propose projects to improve quality & efficiency and reduce waste, cost and cycle times.

Drive continuous improvement projects alongside the Production Manager, providing clear data and rationale for making the change, and to show the improvement.

Collaborating with stakeholders: Engaging with various departments to facilitate effective change management

Remains a positive, credible and professional role model, reviews and evaluates own goals.

Provides a high quality, efficient and reliable customer service.

Demonstrates ability to learn from mistakes and prevents the same thing happening again.

Accepts change and is positive in adopting improved working methods.

Maintains clear professional boundaries

Desirable Experience

Ideally 2 years+ working in a relevant manufacturing environment, in a similar production planning or scheduling role

Excellent planning and organisational skills

Good working knowledge of operations, stores and purchasing systems and processes

Excellent communication and collaboration, and the ability to lead a team when required

Good analytical skills and working knowledge or MRP or ERP systems

An assertive, diplomatic and supportive person
