Unit Highlights:
AdventHealth Altamontes Emergency Department is a 53-bed, level II nationally designated Brain Attach Center, with 30,000 square-feet of patient-centric space.
The unit is designed with all private rooms for a quieter, calming experience in a true healing environment.
Our ED is fully equipped to care for all medical and surgical emergencies, for patients of all ages.

Located north of Orlando in the community of Altamonte Springs, our facility is consistently named Best Hospital for overall quality, reputation, doctors and nurses by local residents
As the largest satellite campus within the AdventHealth system, AdventHealth Altamonte has been providing state-of-the-art healthcare to the community since 1973

The role you'll contribute:
The Clinical Specialist is responsible for providing formal and informal education programs and clinical expertise in his/her specialty area to optimize patient/family, nurse, and systems outcomes and directly or indirectly plans, implements and evaluates patient and family specific care appropriate to the complexity of the problems and resources of the system
assesses and evaluates care delivery models; implements changes based on outcome data
develops education programs to improve patient outcomes and quality of care
supports the practice of nursing through orientation, training, staff development, research and involvement in professional organizations
contributes within the institution to establish clinical best practice system processes
coordinates with multiple disciplines to solve system issues
Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility for maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:
Minimum qualifications
:
Graduate of a RN program
Two years of recent ED clinical nursing experience
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Advanced life support certification (ACLS & PALS)
Current valid State of Florida or multi state license as a Registered Nurse
Recent RN ED experience
Recent RN preceptorship experience in ED
Preferred qualifications:
BSN or MSN
One year of recent leadership experience in a hospital setting
ENA Certified Emergency Nurse
Emergency Nursing Pediatric Pediatric Course
Trauma Nursing Core Course
