Northrop Grumman is seeking a Network Engineer/Principal Network Engineer based in San Diego, CA. Relocation assistance may be available. A US Government security clearance (DoD secret) is required. Travel: up to 10% of the time. What You’ll Get To Do

Work closely with engineers and technicians in a lab environment Advise on integration of new emerging industry technologies to the program’s systems Implement engineering changes to the system as required Review, analyze, and incorporate technical requirements into end-to-end system architectures Responsible for completing the network configurations and coordinating with peers, SMEs, and government engineers Occasional travel may be required This position may be filled as a Network Engineer or Principal Network Engineer. Qualifications

Basic Qualifications for Network Engineer

Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, or related discipline with 2 years of experience; OR 0 years with a Master’s degree An additional 4 years of relevant experience can be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree Experience with network design, architecture, specifications, and equipment selection Understanding of IPv4 and IPv6 network design, including IP subnetting and protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP Understanding of network device configuration and troubleshooting (ideally Cisco IOS/IOS-XE) Understanding of advanced features like GRE, IPsec, IP quality-of-service, VLANs, and multicast Familiar with network management protocols such as SNMP, SSH, syslog, RADIUS/TACACS Ability to travel 10% of the time Must be a US Citizen Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD secret clearance is required Basic Qualifications For Principal Network Engineer

Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, or related discipline with 5 years of experience; OR 3 years with a Master’s degree; OR 1 year with STEM PhD An additional 4 years of relevant experience can be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree Experience with network design, architecture, specifications, and equipment selection Understanding of IPv4 and IPv6 network design, including IP subnetting and protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP Understanding of network device configuration and troubleshooting (ideally Cisco IOS/IOS-XE) Understanding of advanced features like GRE, IPsec, IP quality-of-service, VLANs, and multicast Familiar with network management protocols such as SNMP, SSH, syslog, RADIUS/TACACS Ability to travel 10% of the time Must be a US Citizen Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD secret clearance is required Preferred Qualifications

DoD 8570 Security certification such as Sec+, CASP, CISSP, or equivalent Professional networking certifications (e.g., CCNA/CCNP/CCIE) or equivalent Familiar with network management applications (e.g., Splunk, FMC, Cisco ISE) Exposure to Risk Management Framework, security controls, and STIGs Experience with Windows, Linux, and VMware configuration and troubleshooting Experience with HAIPE/TACLANE and other military COMSEC/CRYPTO equipment Experience with tactical/military radio networks (e.g., CDL, ANW2) Experience with MIL SATCOM equipment and services Experience with Cisco Unified Communications/VoIP and VTC Experience with Cisco Modeling Labs (CML) or VIRL Proficiency with MS Office tools (PowerPoint, Visio) Active U.S. Government DoD Secret Clearance Salary

Primary Level Salary Range: $81,300.00 - $121,900.00 Secondary Level Salary Range: $100,300.00 - $150,500.00 The above salary ranges are a general guideline; final offers reflect scope, responsibilities, candidate experience, education, skills, and market conditions. Overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses may apply where applicable. Long-term incentives may be available for VP/Director roles.
