Job Overview

The LL.M Admissions and Recruitment Counselor assists with all aspects of the Graduate (LL.M. & MSL) admissions processes. In addition to reviewing and rendering decisions on applications, this position also requires representing the law school at recruitment fairs, forums, and panels, counseling students regarding the admissions process, and implementing strategies for recruiting and yielding prospective students. Duties

Reviewing and making recommendations on admissions files for LL.M. applicants. Answering emails from prospective students. Conducting Zoom interviews of applicants. Work Interactions

This position reviews applicant files, conducts applicant interviews, assists with the recruitment process and assists the Dean of Admissions, Assistant Dean of Graduate Admissions, and Director and Assistant Director of Admissions with other projects as assigned. The position is part-time for a 4-month period. Requirements and Qualifications

J.D. or Master’s Degree required Experience working in a very fast-paced environment and strong multitasking abilities Familiarity with Microsoft, especially Excel An ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information and to work with a wide range of people including applicants, alumni, faculty, staff and students Experience with student information systems or similar databases is preferred, as is working knowledge of web development technologies and emerging social media Work Mode Designation

Pay Range

The projected hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is: $30.29- $37.01. Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University’s business needs and external factors.
