You'll receive $3,000 after successfully completing orientation and your probation period, with additional payments of $2,500 after 12 months and another $2,500 after 18 months. Work Schedule:
40 hours per week, utilizing 12-hour shifts (7AM-7PM, 7PM-7AM, 8AM-8PM, 8PM-8AM, 10AM-10PM). Typically, you will work three shifts one week and four shifts the next, rotating between day and night shifts and including every other weekend. Self-scheduling options are available. Location:
You will report in and out of Baltimore, MD (by MedStar Harbor Hospital) or Clinton, MD (by MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center). Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent NREMT certification required Current EMT certification for MD and DC (or ability to obtain DC certification within 30 days of hire) Valid Driver's License BLS Certification EVOC certification Current valid BLS certification Primary Responsibilities: Safely and efficiently operate a ground ambulance while adhering to all driving laws Inspect the ambulance at the beginning of each shift to ensure it is ready for safe use Maintain professional radio communication with MedStar Transport and other agencies, following appropriate FCC protocols Transport patients to various assigned locations Load and unload patients, medical equipment, and passengers from MedStar Transport vehicles Assist in the unloading and transportation of patients from other transportation vehicles as needed This position has a hiring range of $22.49 - $34.50.
