Cybersecurity Solutions Architect / Engineer

Key Responsibilities In this role, you will develop security architectures for new initiatives, lead our Secure by Design approach, and document robust security strategies. With minimal supervision, you will engage with security design partners and collaborate with engineering, service, and business development teams. Your goal is to ensure Leidos maintains effective C-ITS security architectures that can evolve with changing customer needs and regulatory standards. You will be integral to developing and delivering cybersecurity components of solutions across diverse projects. Minimum Qualifications - Passion for working with emerging technologies and pioneering the future of transportation. - Exceptional communication skills to engage with technical teams, management, and external partners. - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or related field with

of relevant experience; or a combination of education, certifications, and experience. - Experience with IoT platforms and devices. - Comprehensive understanding of cyber risk and mitigation approaches in both traditional on-premise C-ITS platforms and cloud technologies. - Proven ability to integrate risk management into the system development lifecycle (SDLC) and implement security controls. - Proficiency in developing and maintaining critical security documentation (SSPs, SARs, Risk Assessments, POA&Ms). - Skilled in assessing cybersecurity vulnerabilities and developing remediation plans. - Capability to design, troubleshoot, maintain, and deploy vulnerability scanning solutions. - Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance (includes three years of continuous residency in the US). - All applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship. Preferred Qualifications - Familiarity with connected transportation interoperability (CTI), C-ITS, and vehicle-to-everything standards (ITE, SAE, IEEE). - Knowledge of C-ITS hardware and software systems. - Understanding of vehicle critical control systems and subsystems. - Experience in a fast-paced R&D environment. - Relevant Bachelor's degree with

of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Certifications such as Redhat, Cisco, Microsoft, Security+, Linux+, or Network+. - Experience with Sourcefire (snort) or RSA Security Analytics. - Capability to lead software or system engineering teams. - Understanding of secure software development practices and application security architecture. - Familiarity with tools for project management and documentation (Gitlab, Jira, Confluence). - Experience in an Agile work environment.
