Global Associate Director, Product Stewardship

Boston Scientific is seeking a Global Associate Director of Product Stewardship to set the strategic direction for the company’s global Product Stewardship function. The successful candidate will lead enterprise-wide programs and policies that integrate product stewardship requirements into product development, manufacturing, distribution, and sustainability initiatives. The role requires strategic leadership, global stakeholder management, and the ability to drive enterprise-wide initiatives that balance compliance, business priorities, and sustainability objectives. The Global Associate Director will partner with executive leadership and global business units to align stewardship initiatives with corporate priorities and influence industry standards. Key Responsibilities: Define and implement Boston Scientific’s global product stewardship vision, strategy, and policies. Lead enterprise-wide compliance programs covering REACH, RoHS, POPs, CA Prop 65, Conflict Minerals, EPR (WEEE, Battery, Packaging), and other emerging requirements. Build and lead cross-functional teams across R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Operations, and Marketing to embed stewardship principles into new product development and sustaining efforts. Develop and mentor a global network of product stewardship leaders, ensuring capability and succession planning. Drive organizational alignment and resource prioritization to deliver against enterprise objectives. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, chemistry, engineering, or related field (Master’s degree preferred). 12+ years of Product Stewardship, Regulatory, R&D, Sustainability or Operations experience with increasing leadership responsibility. 7+ years of people leadership, including developing and managing global teams. Demonstrated success leading enterprise-wide compliance and sustainability programs. Strong business acumen and strategic influence skills. Preferred Qualifications: MBA or advanced technical degree.
