What you’ll do: Design and build ruggedized, compact mechanical systems for real-world performance. Prototype components using CNC machining (Fusion 360 CAM preferred), 3D printing, and laser cutting. Develop and integrate microfluidic and airflow subsystems (manifolds, pumps, valves, sealing). Apply DFM/DFA and tolerance analysis to ensure designs scale from prototype to production. Collaborate with electrical + systems engineers on electromechanical integration. Travel to conduct live demos and stress-tests, iterating based on operator feedback. What we’re looking for: Hands-on mechanical design and prototyping experience beyond academic settings A strong portfolio of independent projects.
