About the Opportunity:

Chelsea Piers is seeking to hire a Product Manager, Acquisition to join our Technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for solving hard problems and creating solutions that drive member acquisition, optimize conversion rates, and reduce customer acquisition costs. This role reports to the Senior Product Manager, Engagement and works closely with a cross-functional squad including design, marketing, and engineering teams focused on the fitness acquisition funnel.

Drive Acquisition Strategy and Optimization Lead the development and optimization of Chelsea Piers Fitness acquisition funnel from first touch through member activation Collaborate with the Director of Digital Marketing to optimize budget allocation and acquisition channel strategy Reduce customer acquisition cost (CAC) through data-driven experimentation and conversion rate optimization Own the new member journey, ensuring successful onboarding and activation Product Development and Technical Leadership

Build and enhance our online membership join flow, creating seamless conversion experiences Lead the migration of our website to a new CMS platform (Sanity experience a plus) Develop and optimize solutions for website forms and landing page experiences Create and A/B test landing pages for acquisition campaign CRM, Systems, and Operational Support

Oversee and optimize the sales tech stack (including Zoho CRM) to ensure accurate data, workflow efficiency, and alignment with acquisition goals. Audit CRM data for accuracy, completeness, and uniformity across clubs. Optimize sales workflows and educate sales teams on CRM best practices Support standardized membership sales processes across all clubs as they relate to acquisition and CRM usage. Cross-Functional Collaboration and Squad Leadership

Lead a cross-functional squad including design, marketing, and engineering teammates Work closely with your marketing partner to optimize the entire customer journey from awareness to activation Hand off successfully activated members to the Senior Product Manager, Engagement for retention and engagement initiatives Collaborate with key stakeholders across the company to define acquisition-focused business needs and product requirements Collaborate with Sales and Marketing on workflows for corporate partnerships, including tracking progress against membership benchmarks Data-Driven Experimentation and Analysis

Design and execute rapid, measurable experiments to improve conversion rates and reduce acquisition costs Define, track, and share success metrics including CAC, conversion rates, and activation metrics Leverage analytics tools to identify optimization opportunities and measure experiment success Create data-informed narratives to communicate performance and strategic recommendations to leadership This is not a comprehensive list of responsibilities, which can change at any time at the discretion of your supervisor.

To the role of Product Manager, Acquisition, you will bring:

Experience and Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience Minimum 3 years of product management experience with specific focus on acquisition and growth Demonstrated understanding of the techniques and methods of conversion rate optimization Technical and Analytical Skills

Experience with Google Analytics for tracking and analyzing user behavior and conversion funnels Familiarity with CMS solutions (Sanity or similar) Experience working with CRM systems (Zoho or similar) Experience leveraging web analytics tools (Microsoft Clarity) and product analytics platforms (Heap) to generate insights Familiarity with Customer Data Platforms (CDP) such as Segment, Rudderstack or similar is highly desirable Growth, Marketing and Operational Expertise

Proven track record of reducing customer acquisition costs and improving conversion rates for membership-based products Experience creating and optimizing landing pages for acquisition campaigns Demonstrated ability to design and execute A/B tests and other growth experiments Understanding of digital marketing channels and their impact on the acquisition funnel Experience supporting sales operations via CRM workflows, process standardization, and partner tracking Leadership and Collaboration

Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams through influence rather than authority Excellent communication and organizational skills with ability to work with technical and non-technical colleagues Experience working closely with marketing teams on acquisition initiatives Demonstrated ability to create solutions to complex problems with multiple constraints, using sound judgment to assess risks Industry Interest

Strong interest in fitness and/or sports is preferred; former athlete background is a plus but not required Passion for the intersection of digital and in-person experiences
