Your role and responsibilities
As a Hardware User Experience Designer, you will be engaging with the rest of the Industrial Design team and all parties involved in the definition and development of a hardware product (product management, mechanical development, testing, ...), collect data, share insights, and transform challenges into actionable items to improve products and experiences.
Required technical and professional expertise
BFA in Industrial Design or Human Factors / Ergonomics
Knowledge of Hardware UX Design practices and principles
Familiarity with field research such as ethnographies, interviews, etc.
Experience conducting usability studies to inform design
Proficiency in collecting and organizing data and presenting insights
Interest in design thinking facilitation and methodologies
Preferred technical and professional experience
Experience with research/survey tools to collect both qualitative and quantitative data points
Knowledge of enterprise IT hardware
Familiarity with CAD and 3D render tools
