Are you a dynamic, experienced Engineering Manager passionate about food production? We are a leading manufacturing company seeking a Permanent Engineering Manager for our Food Production division. This is a fantastic opportunity to join our team and contribute to the development of innovative, high-quality food products. The successful candidate will have a strong background in food production, utility design, and continuous improvement implementation. You will be responsible for managing project proposals, CAPEX, project specifications, estimations, and project cost control. This role requires a hands-on approach to project management, contractor management, and machine design.
Responsibilities:
As an Engineering Manager, you'll be at the heart of our food production operations. Your key responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing and managing all aspects of food production, from utility design to continuous improvement implementation. 2. Developing and managing project proposals, CAPEX, project specifications, and estimations. 3. Ensuring effective project cost control and efficient project management. 4. Managing contractors and ensuring the successful completion of projects on time and within budget. 5. Designing and implementing advanced machinery and equipment for food production. 6. Applying LEAN principles to optimize production processes and enhance operational efficiency. 7. Ensuring compliance with GMP, SQF BRC FSMA GFSI, and other relevant food safety standards. 8. Leading and motivating a team of engineers to achieve set goals and objectives.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of the following skills and qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field. 2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in an engineering management role within the food production industry. 3. Proven experience in utility design, continuous improvement implementation, project management, and contractor management. 4. Extensive knowledge and experience with CAPEX, project specifications, and estimations. 5. Demonstrated ability in project cost control. 6. Strong expertise in machine design. 7. Familiarity with LEAN principles and their application in a manufacturing environment. 8. Comprehensive knowledge of GMP, SQF BRC FSMA GFSI, and other food safety standards. 9. Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills. 10. Strong problem-solving abilities and a detail-oriented approach.
