Part-Time Patient Access Representative
plays a crucial role in our healthcare environment, responsible for greeting and welcoming patients with warmth and professionalism. In this position, you will manage patient registration processes, collecting necessary demographic and financial information and entering data into our electronic medical record system. Location:
800 E 28th St, Minneapolis, MN 55407 Primary Responsibilities: Welcome and greet patients in person with a friendly demeanor. Collect and verify demographic and insurance information. Check in and interview patients to complete necessary paperwork. Guide patients to their appointments and procedures. Assist in scheduling follow-up appointments as required. Document issues and resolutions in the electronic medical record. Resolve registration errors and claim issues on patient accounts. Utilize resources and procedures effectively to complete patient registrations. Verify insurance eligibility and benefits, especially in complex billing situations. Provide cost information to patients and explain available financial assistance programs. Assist and guide patients through financial assistance applications. Offer technical guidance to team members as needed. Respond to inbound and outbound calls with excellent customer service. Mentor new staff members as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: At least 6 months of customer service experience in healthcare, retail, or related fields. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Availability to work standard daytime hours, Monday to Friday, during the initial three weeks of training. Willing to maintain an average of 20 hours per week with a biweekly rotating schedule: Week 1: Monday 2:30pm - 11:00pm Wednesday 4:30pm - 1:00am Saturday 2:30pm - 11:00pm Week 2: Sunday 2:30pm - 11:00pm Friday 2:30pm - 11:00pm Ability to work every other weekend. Must be at least 18 years of age. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Revenue Cycle. General office experience. Familiarity with Epic systems. Physical Demands: Frequent walking, standing, and bending are required. Ability to lift weights up to 10 lbs occasionally and 2-5 lbs frequently. Sign-On Bonus Note:

The pay range for this position is $16.00 to $27.69 per hour, dependent on various factors including local labor markets, education, experience, and certifications.
