Overview
The primary responsibility is to act as accountable manager for oversight and maintenance department. Manage projects to implementation within specified budget and time frames. Contribute to the continual enhancement of the company's operations department. Responsible for overall management of crews and the efficiency of the ground support operations. Liaise with all relevant departments and third-party suppliers as well as government regulators as and when required. Responsibilities
Ensure that all company aircraft, power plants and appliances used in air transportation are maintained in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations and company policy and in a manner that is consistent with the highest safety standards. Assigned the overall authority and responsibility to direct the activities of the Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Program. Produce and be responsible for the standards of performance for mechanics and other personnel assigned to the Maintenance Department. Develop and maintain sound personnel and labor relations and foster open lines of communication within the Maintenance Department. Ensure personnel, tooling, equipment, parts inventory, reference data and other required support devices are available and adequate to properly maintain company's aircraft. Be responsible for establishing and Maintenance Control management and procedures. Provide assistance and liaison to the Marketing and Operations Departments in developing flight schedule patterns and routing to meet maintenance work schedules and requirements. Review and recommend all budgets and requests for expenditures submitted by maintenance personnel. Participate in the annual budget development and ensure the maintenance department performs within the guidelines thereof. Have the authority to hire and terminate personnel assigned to the Maintenance Department. Ensure personnel are adequately trained and qualified. Have the authority to arrange for contract maintenance with approved company vendors. Analyze, recommend and initiate procedures to improve maintenance methods and techniques. Work in the best interest of the company at all times. Serve as the primary liaison with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), along with the Chief Inspector. Perform other duties as directed by the Vice-President of Maintenance & Engineering. Company Description: FAA part 135 Commuter and On-Demand Air Carrier with Air Ambulance and HAZMAT authorizations.
