Amazon MGM Studios is seeking a Creative Advertising executive for the Film Marketing team to develop innovative, award-winning 360° creative advertising campaigns for our theatrical releases.
This role presents a unique opportunity to shape the future of theatrical marketing at a pivotal time in the entertainment industry.
The ideal candidate will be a creative leader who can craft premium, breakthrough campaigns that captivate global audiences and drive box office success. As part of the MGM Theatrical team, you'll be responsible for launching films with full global theatrical distribution and marketing campaigns during an exciting period of unprecedented growth and investment.
Key job responsibilities
Creative Leadership
Spearhead the strategic vision and creative execution of global marketing campaigns for MGM's theatrical slate
Drive innovation in trailer development, TV spots, radio, and outdoor campaigns to maximize ticket sales and ensure local market impact
Pioneer new approaches in theatrical marketing while leveraging cross-platform insights
Creative Execution
Lead ideation and development of breakthrough creative concepts for tentpole theatrical releases
Oversee campaign execution across multiple budget tiers, from independent films to major blockbusters
Guide and elevate creative output from top-tier partners
Navigate complex, multi-territory projects with strategic global vision
Stakeholder Management
Command the room when presenting creative concepts to senior studio leadership and filmmakers
Foster collaboration between theatrical and streaming teams to maximize overall film success
Transform constructive feedback into elevated creative solutions while maintaining campaign integrity
Basic Qualifications
10+ years of entertainment marketing experience with proven theatrical success
Creative agency, studios or streaming background, with demonstrable theatrical campaign achievements
Preferred Qualifications
Strong track record leading creative teams through high-stakes theatrical releases
Expert knowledge of global theatrical campaign management across various budget levels
Proven success with global theatrical launches and market-specific creative adaptation
Experience spanning major studio and independent film marketing
Portfolio showcasing innovative theatrical marketing across all media platforms
Deep understanding of theatrical audience dynamics
Resilience in high-pressure environments with complex release schedules
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $166,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $274,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
