American Health Imaging is seeking a licensed RN to be on site at our Downtown Birmingham, AL location. This position is full-time position working Monday-Friday 8:00 am- 5:00 pm.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Clinical Care Coordinator (RN) is a healthcare professional who provides an onsite clinical presence for contrast when direct supervision is afforded virtually by a licensed provider. The Clinical Care Coordinator performs rapid response services in the event of a medical emergency in the center, including providing immediate medical care and life support services under the supervision of the virtual licensed provider. The Clinical Care Coordinator also serves as the point of contact for third-party emergency personnel responding to a 911 call.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Creates a positive patient and customer experience by representing the US Radiology Way (60%) Patient Care
Under the direct supervision of the licensed provider, the Clinical Care Coordinator provides assistance and is authorized to provide advanced life support, administer medications and perform a patient evaluation of signs and symptoms based on their field skill sets and scope of practice. Serves as the onsite responder and coordinates the Rapid Response to medical emergencies in the center Evaluates the patient's condition on the scene and performs a preliminary diagnosis Administers necessary medications and treatments within their scope of practice, such as administering oxygen, providing glucose for diabetic emergencies, or assisting with the administration of epinephrine for severe allergic reactions Uses clinical equipment and/or medications to attempt to stabilize patients or provide emergency response treatment Collaborates with interested parties (police, firefighting unit, doctors, etc.) Provides Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) as needed Greets and escorts patients to the changing room and briefly explains the procedure Provides pre-exam screening and instructions Assists patients on and/or off the table when requested by technologist Supports technologists throughout scan and contrast administration, as required Manages post-scan patient hand-off Ensures efficient, friendly, and smooth patient experience for all patients who enter the center Ensures smooth patient throughput of the entire center and all modalities Monitors center modality schedules Adjusts patient schedule when necessary and keeps all techs informed of any changes Starts I.V.'s, administers contrast media as directed and per protocol (35%) Administrative Support
Documents patient assessments, interventions, and responses to treatment Attends all Company required OSHA training, annual training, and all mandatory Company updates. Consistently assists the patient care team with maintaining a clean, well-organized, adequately stocked, and safe patient environment. Maintains effective communication with the in-center staff, virtual licensed provider, and patients to relay vital information and receive instructions Prepares room set up between patients, including putting proper coil on table, putting previous coil away and changing table sheet Helps the technologist stay on time by having the next patient ready before the current patient is ready to get off the table Provides front-end coverage as needed (5%) Completes other tasks and projects as assigned

Required:
Associate or bachelor's degree in nursing IV credentialed Current Alabama RN License Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification Clinical Care Coordinators must have a current license in the appropriate State aligned with clinical scope practice including but not limited to radiologic technologists, paramedics, EMTs, registered nurses, advanced practice practitioners, and physicians. WORKING CONDITIONS:
Heavy lifting: up to 100 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 50 lbs. Must be able to stand, stoop and lift and walk without restrictions. Requires the ability to see, hear, speak, write, and key.
