The Regulatory Administration & Airworthiness (RA&A) organization is seeking a

787 Regulatory Administration and Airworthiness Manager (Level K)

to join our team in

Charleston, South Carolina.

Our objectives are supported by a collaborative environment defined by teamwork and a passion for leading with speed, agility and ingenuity in an ambiguous and ever-evolving environment. We are seeking an individual who excels in that framework.

The selected individual will be responsible for standing up a team of certification engineers and specialists supporting 787 production certification, international type validation and Aircraft Certification - Eligibility (AC-E) support tasks at our Charleston site.

Position Responsibilities:

Develop staffing, onboarding and training strategies for 787 RA&A Charleston team

Coordinate with Puget Sound 787 RA&A manager to ensure best approaches prevail

Help team navigate complex regulatory processes and landscapes while providing guidance to a network of stakeholders across all levels of management and non-management

Coordinate and convey certification strategies, objectives and status to the Federal Aviation Administration and Civil Aviation Authorities

Support employee development strategies and organizational endeavors related to enhancing employee engagement, influence and expertise

Ensure ODA unit members are supported, and have the time and independence necessary to carry out their regulatory responsibilities

Review certification plans and packages for correctness and completeness

Collaborate with 787 Program leaders to strategize and implement compliance measures, while also developing strong risk mitigation plans as necessary.

Ensure internal and external stakeholders are aware of program/project priorities and progress-to-plan

Support the review of Applicant certification proposals and address related inquiries

Ensure ODA objectives and procedures are understood, followed, and implemented across the value stream

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at this location.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

2+ years of experience working with regulators and regulatory procedures/processes

2+ years of experience integrating people, strategies and processes

3+ years of project management experience

3+ years of experience leading teams and/or initiatives

Experience in BCA type design certification activities and milestones

Experience in post-type validation procedures and milestones

Experience working with regulators to resolve certification issues

Experience with the ODA Procedures Manual

Knowledge of change management processes

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary Pay Range: $137,700 - $186,300
