The Department of Military Affairs is seeking a Station Lieutenant to respond to emergencies, perform operational readiness and preventive maintenance, maintain records, and participate in communications to establish departmental policies and procedures. Responsibilities

Emergency Response: Respond to all emergencies as outlined by Departmental SOG/SOP’s and Mutual Aid / Reciprocal Agreements. Operational readiness and preventive maintenance: Perform daily inspection of all firefighting apparatus and equipment as outlined in department SOG/SOP’s. Records/Management: Maintains records, prepares reports, and participates in communications to establish departmental policies and procedures. Shift Management: Plans, directs, and supervises functions for shift in the absence of senior fire officer. Fire alarm control center: Perform fire alarm control center operations and duties as outlined by departmental SOG/SOP’s. Incident command: Assumes command of all emergency responses in the absence of senior fire officer. Fire Prevention: Conduct building life safety inspections, fire drills, fire hydrant and extinguisher inspections as directed. Requirements

A High School Diploma or equivalent; Two years of Supervisory experience; Must be at least 18 years old; Must have a valid Florida Driver’s License; Must obtain and maintain a minimum security clearance of SECRET per NGR 5-1ANGI 63-101 Chapter 36-10g; The State of Florida Certificate of Compliance as a Firefighter (Not earlier than 1998); Firefighter (AFSC 3E731/51): Required Department of Defense (DoD) Certifications Benefits

New employees of the Department of Military Affairs will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
