The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine (COM), in partnership with the UC Health academic healthcare system and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, seeks a Division Director for the Division of Rheumatology, Allergy, and Immunology within the Department of Internal Medicine. The Director will report to the Department of Internal Medicine Chair and will lead the division in alignment with clinical care, research, and education missions. The Director will support residency and medical student training and provide mentoring and administrative support to leadership efforts. The role requires leading a team of academicians from varied backgrounds with strong communication, relationship-building, integrity, adaptability, and patient empathy. Faculty rank is commensurate with experience. Responsibilities

Act as a mentor for junior faculty, research staff, and graduate students as a senior faculty member. Develop a roadmap to expand clinical and basic science research in the division. Plan optimal utilization of Advanced Practice Providers. Participate in strategic development conversations. Set clinical productivity targets for staff and provide fiscal oversight of the division. Set annual academic, clinical, and research goals. Participate in the Department of Internal Medicine Chair’s Council of Champions. Recruitment, mentorship, and annual faculty reviews; collaborate with departmental leaders. Address concerns from staff, patients, providers, and others; collaborate with other departments to enhance multidisciplinary approaches. Support new initiatives that may expand beyond the local campus to surrounding areas or virtually. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements

MD, DO, MD/PhD, or commensurate degree. Board certification in Rheumatology or Allergy, Asthma, & Immunology. At least 10 years of clinical experience with demonstrated leadership and management experience at a medical facility. Experience with communication, negotiation, conflict resolution, and decision making. Additional Qualifications Considered

MBA and/or strong business acumen. Previous success in building and leading a large, interdisciplinary team. Physical Requirements
