Position Summary

KBR, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cloud Architect to join our team in Beavercreek, OH.

Key Responsibilities

Lead a team of Engineers to architect and deliver end-to-end cloud architecture solutions

Support and advise on application assessment, migration and modernization

Design cloud infrastructure, VPC, VPN, auto scaling, and computing resources to meet customers’ requirements

Maintain an understanding of advancing cloud capabilities, IT and business needs, while identifying and proposing cost and functional efficiency options for the customer’ collaborative decisions and actions

Create and maintain a roadmap of customer cloud enhancements according to the customer’s decisions and directions

Collaborate with stakeholders and business owners to provide guidance and recommendations on improving IT infrastructure

Work with senior leadership both internal and external on planning and executing tasks using Agile methodologies

Develop products such as plans, processes, reports, briefs

Maintain network drawings as needed for the cloud network architecture

Analyze cloud network performance and capacity

Provide expert guidance and leadership

Qualifications:

Required:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.

10+ years combined work experience in Networking (with recent emphasis on cloud integration and deployment), System Integration or related field.

Hands on skills and understanding on routing, switching, WAN/LAN integration, cloud integration and related subjects.

High level executive presence skill with verbal and written communication skills are required

Active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility

Desired:

Master’s Degree and or combined years of experience but not required

Certifications but not required – CISSP, CCNA, CCNP, Azure Architect, AWS Architect and or related work experience.

Experience taking ownership of your work

Strong analytical skills

Excellent written and verbal communication

Position Summary:

The KBR team is looking for a cloud architect to design and construct world-class scalable software development and test environments for multiple high-profile acquisition efforts. This is a role with a wide berth that will have the latitude to transition on-prem workloads to one or more hyperscale environments.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with multiple organizations with similar and diverging requirements on cloud architecture & strategy

Evaluate new cloud technologies and makes substantiated recommendations for improvement

Identify the best cloud solutions to successfully meet the strategic architecture needs of the organization

Regularly evaluate existing cloud infrastructure to identify risks or opportunities for improvement

Assess legacy mission infrastructure and functions to determine best candidates for transition to a cloud-based solution

Develop cross-domain solutions to manage the transfer of unclassified software and data to classified networks

Support continuous integration/continuous testing/continuous delivery (CI/CT/CD) software development processes in a hybrid cloud environment

Support prototyping & troubleshooting of complex systems spanning between on- and off-premises cloud environments

Offer guidance in capability/service movement techniques, including bulk application transfers into the cloud

Be part of an agile team to cross-functional boundaries and mentor others on cloud services

Qualifications:

Required:

BS in technical field (preferably Computer Science or Electrical Engineering)

12+ years in Software development, Infrastructure design, or DevOps

Minimum of 12 years working experience in one of/many of a DevOps, Security Engineering, or SRE role.

Outstanding communication skills and the ability to work in an environment with evolving requirements

Highly proficient in modern cloud providers, especially Azure and Google Cloud.

Experience with IaC (Terraform, Ansible, Chef, etc).

Programming ability in one or more general purpose (C++, Rust, Python).

Understanding of public cloud networking concepts.

Experience deploying complex and scalable cloud applications.

Must have a U.S. DoD TS clearance

Desired:

Experience with one or more existing DoD classified development networks

15+ years in Software development in a classified working environment
