Cloud Security Engineer
Location: Plano, TX

Who We’re Looking For
As a Cloud Security Engineer you’ll support the security of our cloud infrastructure by analyzing findings, assisting with remediation, and working closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams. This hands-on role focuses on Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) and offers the opportunity to grow into a subject matter expert (SME) in cloud security tools like CSPM and various other cloud technologies.
What you’ll be doing
Support monitoring of cloud environments (primarily AWS) using tools like CSPM, SIEM, and other cloud security platforms.
Assist in reviewing and triaging basic security findings, escalating issues to senior engineers or DevOps teams as needed.
Help with the creation and refinement of security policies and rulesets under guidance.
Participate in efforts to improve cloud security hygiene by identifying misconfigurations and supporting enforcement of baseline controls.
Document security findings and contribute to remediation tracking and process improvement efforts.
Help maintain internal knowledge bases and contribute to team playbooks.
Stay informed about cloud security trends, tools, and best practices through learning and mentorship.
What You Bring
Up to 2 years of experience in cloud security and at least 1 year in broader cybersecurity.
Exposure to one or more major cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
Foundational understanding of cloud security principles including IAM, encryption, and network security.
Familiarity with cloud-native security tools such as CSPM (e.g., Orca), SIEM (e.g., CrowdStrike Falcon), and AWS GuardDuty.
Ability to interpret basic security findings and logs.
Strong analytical mindset and eagerness to learn and grow in a hands-on environment.
Comfortable collaborating across engineering, DevOps, and security teams.
Added bonus if you have
Hands-on experience with cloud security tools (e.g., Orca, CrowdStrike, Xray).
Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
Certifications such as AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Security+, or equivalent.
Basic scripting knowledge (Python, Bash, etc.) is a plus.
Awareness of security frameworks like CIS Benchmarks or NIST is a plus.
