SR Manager Applications Development (Dallas, Texas, United States, 75217). This role is at Mohawk Industries, Dal-Tile, a subsidiary of Mohawk Industries. The Manager Applications Development is a first-level manager that manages and plans day-to-day operations within the Applications Development team, working with Division Project Managers and consulting groups to complete assigned development tasks and ensure processes and systems support expected customer service levels. Responsibilities

Manage a dynamic team of individuals who seek creative ways to elevate the capabilities of technology systems to meet business needs, leveraging emerging technologies and adapting technologies to customer needs. Provide direction on staff development and training, budget management, feasibility studies, delegation, project and resources control, teamwork coordination, and performance feedback for individuals, projects, or programs. Maintain effective, productive, and professional relationships with internal and external customers, third-party vendors, project management office, relationship managers, and governance organizations to accomplish project objectives. Contribute to the development of business application tactical plans; forecast and allocate resources to meet objectives; manage development, installation, maintenance, and enhancement for mission-critical application systems for an assigned unit/area. Provide direction to the team according to established policies and management guidance. Develop, document, and maintain best practices, project standards, procedures, applications, quality objectives and lessons learned, including metrics for assessing progress. Ensure that application systems are developed in compliance with architectural standards and established methodologies and practices. Develop and deliver training on project standards, methodology, and quality objectives. Proactively seek opportunities to apply technology to expand business potential. Review factors to analyze situations and resolve issues. Perform other duties as needed. Required Experience And Education

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent education and/or experience. 6-8 years’ relevant experience or equivalent education and/or experience. 1-3 years of management experience. 5+ years in business application design and systems development, including implementation and installation.
