Job Description
Voyatek is seeking applicants to occupy the position of Network Analyst within our team at New York Power Authority. This is a 12 month contract, on site in White Plains, NY. Key Responsibilities:
Installation: Install new hardware or software systems or components, ensuring integration with existing network systems. Problem Resolution: Work with vendors to diagnose and resolve network problems. Collaboration: Assist with the integration, maintenance, and problem resolution of network services and wiring infrastructures by working with other networking and telecommunications staff, user support entities, vendors, and end-users. Record Keeping: Ensure accurate records are kept of network components, maintenance activities, network connections, accounts, and inventory. Programming: Program network applications as needed. General Duties: Contribute to the overall success of Information Services by performing all other essential duties as assigned. Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Network Analyst, Network Administrator, or similar role. Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing, switching, and firewall configurations. Experience with network monitoring tools and software such as SolarWinds, OpManager, and Splunk. Familiarity with network security practices and frameworks such as NIST and CIS. Experience with ticketing systems like ServiceNow. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Experience with cloud-based network solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). Knowledge of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V). Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Certifications such as CCNP, CompTIA Network+, JNCIP, F5-CA. Benefits
